Natsumi Kon is a Japanese musical theater actress and singer from Tokyo. After graduating from the Musical Theatre Course at Senzoku Gakuen College of Music, she rose to attention by playing Juliet in a Japanese production of the musical Romeo and Juliet, earning praise as a highly anticipated young heroine of the Japanese stage scene. She then made her recording debut with the opening theme of the anime Majestic Prince, where she unleashed her soaring, theatrically trained voice in a full-scale anime theme song performance. The expressive power she built up through years of stage work translated beautifully into the anison world, helping her bring an unusually dramatic depth and polished vocal technique to her anime music contributions.
