Aimi is a Japanese voice actress and singer from Hyogo Prefecture. She made her anime debut in Detective Opera Milky Holmes, and went on to gain wide recognition through her role in BanG Dream!, where she voices the main character Kasumi Toyama and serves as the lead vocalist and guitarist of the in-show band Poppin'Party. As a solo artist she has built a reputation for tackling an impressive range of material, from hard-edged rock anthems to bright pop tunes, and she has contributed many anime theme songs along the way. Her work on both the acting and music sides of BanG Dream! has made her one of the most visible young female performers in the modern anisong scene, and her solo releases continue to expand her artistic identity.
