ミナミチアキ(チハラミノリ)
Chiaki Minami is the youngest of the three Minami sisters in the anime series Minami-ke, the slice-of-life comedy about daily life in the Minami household. A sharp-tongued elementary schooler with a cool, almost adult-like speech pattern and a low tolerance for her older sisters' antics, Chiaki rules the family from her vantage point as the most responsible member of the household despite being the smallest. Her favorite insult — "banana" — has become one of the series' most quoted running gags. She is voiced by Minori Chihara, a Japanese voice actress and singer whose calm, grounded vocal tone matches Chiaki's no-nonsense personality beautifully. In the fourth season Minami-ke Tadaima, Chihara contributed in character to several character songs associated with the series, including "Shiawase☆High Tension↑↑" and "Kyuu Sekkin Lucky DAYS," adding the youngest Minami's dry wit to the ensemble vocal numbers that are a staple of the franchise's soundtrack.
