Mao Uesugi is a female singer from Osaka. After winning top prize at the 'Satoshi Yaginuma Lisani! AUDITION' held by anime-music magazine Lisani!, she made her artist debut as a member of the female vocal unit 'spoon' produced by Yaginuma. She has an unusual career path, having worked at a general company after university before moving to Tokyo to pursue her dream as an anisong singer. Currently active as the vocalist of fripSide Phase3, she has also launched her solo career, performing The Eden of Grisaia: Phantom Trigger opening 'Zero Ignition' and vividly coloring anime works with her soaring, powerful voice.
