Ikusaburo Yamazaki is a Tokyo-born musical actor and singer. After being cast as the youngest-ever Marius in Les Miserables, he went on to lead numerous musicals and is often called the prince of the Japanese musical scene. Armed with a classically trained, expansive voice and rich expressiveness, he is active across stage, TV dramas, music programs, and his own solo career. For Crank Up, the opening theme of the TV anime Twilight Out of Focus, he sang a ballad written and composed by Yuki Ozaki and arranged by Galileo Galilei, a track whose memorable intro opens with the sound of a movie camera and delicately captures the fleeting sparkle of youth.
