tricot is a Japanese four-piece rock band from Kyoto, built around vocalist-guitarist Ikkyu Nakajima, guitarist Motifour Kida, bassist Hiromi Hirohiro, and drummer Yusuke Yoshida. Their signature math-rock sound blends complex, tricky rhythms and odd time signatures with pop-leaning melodies. Beyond Japan, they have toured across Asia, Europe, and North America and played numerous international festivals, earning high acclaim worldwide. While releasing albums steadily, they are also active in anime and film music, and performed Otozure, the opening theme for the TV anime Kimi wa Meido-sama.
