Kotone is a singer-songwriter from Nagaoka, Niigata Prefecture, signed to Victor Entertainment. After winning an audition program, she made her major-label debut in 2019. With a delicate yet firm voice and lyrics that feel true to life, she has gained a steady following, and has written several anime theme songs, including "Brand New World" for the animated film "The Tale of the Land of Gold and the Land of Water (Kin no Kuni Mizu no Kuni)," "Saga -This Is My Road-" (ED of the TV anime "Guin Saga"), and "Brand New Breeze" (OP of "La Corda d'Oro -Primo Passo-").
