R-Shitei is a Japanese rapper and lyricist from Sakai, Osaka. A formidable talent who achieved an unprecedented three-peat at ULTIMATE MC BATTLE, he is also widely known as the MC of the hip-hop unit Creepy Nuts alongside DJ Matsunaga. He is admired for his outstanding wordplay and densely packed flow. In anime, he performs "Hiten," the opening theme of the TV anime "Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Kenkaku Romantan," vividly layering hip-hop sensibilities onto a distinctly Japanese setting.
