CIVILIAN is a Japanese rock trio consisting of Hidekazu Koyama (vocals/guitar), Junichi (bass), and Kiyoyuki Arida (drums). Formed in 2008, the group changed its name from the original "Lyu:Lyu" to "CIVILIAN" in 2016. Koyama—who also produces Vocaloid music under the name Nanou—handles all songwriting for the band. Their anime tie-ups include theme songs for "No Guns Life," "The Misfit of Demon King Academy," and the Japanese dub of "Mo Dao Zu Shi," pairing beautiful, bittersweet melodies with literate lyrics.
