Wake Up, Girls! was a seven-member voice actress unit formed through a joint audition by Avex and 81 Produce. The members starred in the anime of the same name while also debuting as singers, pushing the boundary between idol and voice-actor activity. Their dedicated earthquake-recovery support concerts earned them a Voice Acting Award Special Prize, and after disbanding the members continued active careers as leading voice actresses and singers.
