A jazz pianist, composer, and arranger who began making waves while at Keio University and took over the music of the 'Lupin III' franchise from PART2 in 1977. His 'Lupin III Theme' has been refreshed for decades across TV, theatrical, and TV-special installments — including 'THEME FROM LUPIN III '89', 'Lupin III Theme '97', 'THEME FROM LUPIN III 2013', and 'THEME FROM LUPIN III 2019'. He also wrote 'begin' for 'Gakuen Senki Muryou', leaving an outsized mark on the history of Japanese anime music.
