A singer-songwriter from Mie Prefecture and one of Japan's leading male artists, known for hit songs such as "Rakuen" and "Hitomi wo Tojite." His song "Boku no Kokoro wo Tsukutteyo" was used as the theme for the anime film Doraemon: Great Adventure in the Antarctic Kachi Kochi.
