Kotaro Oshio with Yuuki Ozaki

A collaborative unit pairing virtuoso solo acoustic guitarist Kotaro Oshio with Yuuki Ozaki, frontman of the rock band Galileo Galilei, formed to perform the theme song for the theatrical anime Doukyusei (Classmates), based on Asumiko Nakamura's manga. For this story of a delicate romance between honor student Sajou and bandman Kusakabe at an all-boys school, Oshio composed the main theme as a single-guitar arrangement to which Ozaki added lyrics and vocals, producing the song Doukyusei. Its acoustic warmth and hushed singing mirror the characters' unsettled hearts and the film's quiet atmosphere.
