Techno-rock unit centred on Hidehito Ishii, vocalist of the visual-kei band cali≠gari. Founded as Ishiis solo project after he set up his own label CiTY during cali≠garis hiatus, the act draws on electropop and 80s new wave roots and has evolved a distinctive minimal-techno sound. For the TV anime DRAMAtical Murder, adapted from a BL game, GOATBED also took on theme-song and sound production duties, with Ishii single-handedly writing, composing, arranging and performing the opening theme SLIP ON THE PUMPS.
