Keyboardist and vocalist of the Japanese rock band Southern All Stars. While serving as a core member of the band alongside her husband Keisuke Kuwata, she is also active as a solo artist whose singing voice combines warmth and transparency. For the feature animated film A Letter to Momo she wrote the theme song Uruwashi Mahoroba - Utsukushiki Basho - on commission, single-handedly writing, composing, and performing it, with Keisuke Kuwata participating in the chorus. Featuring acoustic-centered arrangement and the beautiful classical word mahoroba, it accompanies the film's depiction of family and hometown set in the Seto Inland Sea islands.
