A Japanese rock band whose members hail from Fujioka, Gunma. Widely regarded as a wellspring of the visual kei movement, they are also notable for continuing to perform with their original line-up throughout their long career. Their sound is experimental, weaving together electronic textures, noise, gothic atmosphere and Japanese melodic sensibility, paired with a decadent, aesthetic worldview. In anime, they have provided theme songs for darker-toned works including 'Kuchizuke' (Shiki opening) and 'Gekka Reijin' (Shiki ending), 'Kagerou' for 'xxxHOLiC', 'Dress' for 'Trinity Blood', and 'Gessekai' for 'Night Walker: The Midnight Detective'.
