Whoops!! is a short-lived Japanese music unit formed by voice actress-singer Maaya Sakamoto and Chieko Higuchi in the late 1990s. The duo released three singles, LOVE LOVE Phantasy, Genie, and Tiles Complex ~Yasashiku Furaretai~, characterized by the airy harmony between Sakamoto's crystalline vocals and Higuchi's supple tone. In anime, they performed both the opening LOVE LOVE Phantasy and the ending Itsuka for the 1999 sci-fi robot series Super Inventor Boy Kanipan. With Hiroshi Matsui's pop-fantasy arrangements, their songs added a bright, dreamlike sheen to the children's robot anime, and remain a notable chapter in the early career of Maaya Sakamoto.
