Kyoko with Masayoshi Yamazaki & Suga Shikao
Artist
Kyoko with Masayoshi Yamazaki & Suga Shikao is a luxurious collaboration project bringing together three of Japan's most distinctive singer-songwriters. Kyoko first rose to fame as one of the twin vocalists of the 1980s mixture band BARBEE BOYS and launched a solo career in 1991. In 1999 she also formed the joint project Fukumimi together with her Office Augusta label-mates Masayoshi Yamazaki and Suga Shikao. In anime, the trio performed the opening theme Eien to Iu Basho for the NHK Educational digital fantasy Corrector Yui, with lyrics by Kyoko and music by Yamazaki, joined on backing vocals by both Yamazaki and Suga. The result was an unusually mature, warm-hearted opening for the children's series.
