Riyu Konaka is a Japanese singer-songwriter who was active from the 1990s into the early 2000s. Known for building a girly yet slightly bitter pop world out of her own lyrics and compositions, she has also provided songs to game-based and OVA works. In anime, she handled the ending theme 'Yappari Onna no Hou ga Ii ya' for the 1999 Studio Pierrot TV anime 'Kacho Ouji', a track credited to her own lyrics, composition and arrangement, which added an ironic, cool female perspective to the story of a salaryman caught up in absurd troubles. She has also left tracks referenced abroad, such as 'Look-A-Like', the theme of a 'Sonic the Hedgehog' OVA.
