Village Purple was a synth-pop unit active in the late 1990s. They performed So Good!, the ending theme of the anime remake Rerere no Tensai Bakabon based on Fujio Akatsuka's classic gag manga, weaving male lead vocals with airy female chorus over a brisk disco beat to leave a burst of brightness after each comedic episode. A single was released to coincide with the broadcast.
