etre is a Japanese three-piece pop unit consisting of vocalist/keyboardist Yuko Yoshikawa, guitarist Kishi Ueda, and programmer Katsumichi Harada. Skilled at delicate songs fusing acoustic and digital elements, their representative anime tie-up is the ending theme 'landscape' for the 2001 TV anime version of 'Babel II'. Written and composed by Kishi Ueda, this guitar- and piano-led healing ballad cradled by Yoshikawa's soft vocals worked as a quiet counterpoint to the hard-rock opening 'Never Die', gently settling the lingering tension of each psychic-battle episode.
