jillmax is the female vocalist who performed 'GET9,' the opening theme for the first GIG of 'Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex,' written by Tim Jensen and composed and arranged by Yoko Kanno. Driven by horn stabs and a beat that crosses funk, hip-hop and soul, the song instantly stamped the cyberpunk world of the series with the Kanno sound and remains one of the most recognisable opening cuts in the franchise. The track has been featured on the show's official soundtrack releases as a signature piece.
