Shimamiya Eiko is a singer who performed two opening themes for the Higurashi franchise: "Higurashi no Naku Koro ni" for the first season (2006) and "Naraku no Hana" for "Kai" (2007). She wrote the lyrics for both songs, with composition by Tomoyuki Nakazawa and arrangement by I've Sound creators including Kazuya Takase. These tracks became iconic symbols of the horror-mystery series' unsettling atmosphere and remain inseparable from the franchise's identity.
