Yoshida Kiyoshi
Artist
Yoshida Kiyoshi is a composer, arranger, and music producer born in Tokyo and raised in Yokohama. In the 1980s he majored in contemporary arranging and screen music at Berklee College of Music, and after returning to Japan he has worked broadly as a synthesist and producer on incidental music, soundtracks, and commercial music. Among his anime-related works is the TV anime 'Shigurui', based on a manga, for which he composed, arranged, and personally performed both the opening track 'Shigurui' and the ending track 'Koji'. Both are instrumental pieces that supported, from the musical side, the worldview of the brutal, harrowing period-drama anime. He has continued working in the field of screen music for many years.
