Kawabe Chieko is an artist active as a singer, actress, and model. In anime, she made her singing debut with 'be your girl,' the ending theme of 'Elfen Lied' (2004), providing a track that complemented the lingering, introspective tone of that work. She then performed the opening theme 'Sakura Kiss' for the 2006 school comedy 'Ouran High School Host Club.' Written by Natsumi Watanabe, composed by M.RIE, and arranged by Yutaka Shinya, the bright, upbeat pop song matched the school comedy's world perfectly and became widely beloved as the series' signature theme.
