Undergraph is a Japanese rock band formed in Osaka in 1997 and launched in earnest as UNDER GRAPH from 2000. Centered on vocalist Naoto Matohara, it is known for a musical approach that expresses deep emotion through words and a powerful band sound, winning broad support with hits such as 'Tsubasa.' They performed the ending theme 'Kotoba' for the TV anime 'NIGHT HEAD GENESIS' (2006). Matohara wrote both lyrics and music, with arrangement handled jointly by the band and Masanori Shimada. Its lyrical melody and heated band sound closely complement the world of the weighty supernatural-suspense work centered on psychic powers.
