Ulfuls is a male rock band from Osaka. Their signature style combines friendly melodies rooted in soul and R&B, the hot and humorous singing of Tortoise Matsumoto, and a delivery laced with Kansai dialect, making them one of the leading groups in the Japanese rock scene from the 1990s onward. In anime, they handled 'Baka Survivor', the second opening theme of the TV Asahi gag anime 'Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo'. Written and composed by Tortoise Matsumoto, this high-speed rock 'n' roll number, shouting 'It's fine to be a fool, just survive!' with Kansai-dialect call-and-response sections, proved to be an outstanding match for the show's bizarre world.
