BEGIN is a Japanese acoustic band whose members come from Ishigaki Island, Okinawa. Fusing island-song flavor using the sanshin with folky pop, they are loved across a wide range of generations for their warm, unpretentious singing. For 'Twin Spica', an anime about girls aspiring to become astronauts, they covered 'Miagete Goran Yoru no Hoshi wo', a song also famous as a Kyu Sakamoto classic, as the ending theme, softly enveloping the aftertaste of the series with a heart-penetrating performance that draws close to the characters gazing at the night sky and their dreams. They also handled 'Kimi wo Miteiru', the ending of the major submarine/Aegis-ship series 'Zipang', supporting with a calm song the emotions of people swaying between the gaps in history.
