AKB48 is a female idol group produced by Yasushi Akimoto that represents Japan. Based out of its own theater in Akihabara, Tokyo, where members perform daily shows in a team system under the concept of 'idols you can go meet', the group has had a major influence on Japanese idol culture. For 'Deltora Quest', an anime depicting a fantasy adventure, they handled the opening theme 'Boku no Taiyou'. This work became one of the group's signature anime tie-ups, and with refreshing, positive lyrics written from a boy's point of view and bright, straightforward chorus work, it is a summer-like, invigorating number that powerfully backs the world of a story about the protagonists' departure and growth.
