Fujiko Hemming
Artist
Fujiko Hemming is an international female pianist, born to a Japanese pianist mother and a Swedish painter father. She has gained worldwide popularity for her emotionally rich performances of Romantic repertoire, including Liszt's 'La Campanella', and is known for a performing style acclaimed as 'soul pianism' that permeates with her unique outlook on life. On the anime front, she performed 'Make It Home', the second ending theme of the TV anime Monster, based on the manga by Naoki Urasawa. Written, composed, and arranged by soundtrack composer Kuniaki Haishima, the song drew attention as an extremely rare vocal work for her, lending a prayer-like resonance that only one who has accumulated years of life can weave to this weighty human drama set in postwar Europe.
