Kunihiko Ryo is a composer and keyboardist active in Japan. Drawing on his background as a Zainichi Korean, he has been praised for film scores that fuse Oriental melodies with grand orchestration. Alongside solo work, he has handled music for numerous films, dramas, and anime, and in the TV anime 'Emma: A Victorian Romance' he was in charge of the overall score. Written as a main theme, the instrumental 'Silhouette of a Breeze' is a piece defined by chamber-music-like, elegant string writing that closely follows the romance between a maid and a gentleman in 19th-century England depicted in the original manga by Kaoru Mori.
