Necry Talkie to Perform "Kemuri to Blue," the Ending Theme of TV Anime "Yanineko" — Digital EP Featuring the Song Out August 5

It has been revealed that Necry Talkie will perform the ending theme for "Yanineko," the TV anime that begins airing on July 2, 2026. The new song that adorns the ending is titled "Kemuri to Blue" (Smoke and Blue). It was written after Asahi (Gt), a huge fan of the original manga, had once posted on social media to the effect of "If Yanineko ever gets an anime, I want to do the theme song."

"Kemuri to Blue" is the title track of the digital EP announced for release on Wednesday, August 5. The EP also contains the Necry Talkie-flavored pop tune "Eleki no Kimochi," the up-tempo "Kaze ga Tada Fuiteiru," and "Yokei na Koto" — a new song that was performed live at the band's 5th major-debut-anniversary solo show "Shime" while it still had no title — for four tracks in all.

<TV Anime "Yanineko">
In a world where humans and beastfolk coexist, there is Yanineko, a beastperson who lazes about smoking. Broke! Hopeless! A good-for-nothing! He threw away manners and morals along with his cigarette butts. Reeking of smoke, grimy, lazy and trashy. Smoking, exhaling, idly chatting, burning out — and yet living reasonably fulfilling days. The manga that went viral on social media now takes on the unlikely challenge of a TV anime! Please watch over the smoke-filled everyday life of these somehow lovable trash cats.

Broadcast: From July 2, 2026 on TOKYO MX and BS11 every Thursday at 24:30 (AT-X from July 25, every Saturday at 24:30). Simultaneous streaming on various platforms after broadcast.

<Necry Talkie Live Information>

<Necry Talkie Profile>
Formed in 2017, led by Asahi, alongside Mossa, Fujita and Kazuma Takei. In March 2019, Ikuka Nakamura officially joined, completing the current five-member lineup. Mossa's instantly captivating voice, Asahi's cynical lyrical worlds, and melodies brimming with a love of music that never go quite as expected are utterly addictive, drawing attention well beyond the band scene.
