The work garnered legendary reception as an indie creation, with the commercial version surpassing 1 million copies in cumulative sales. Set in the city-state of Orichalconia, the story follows Paracelsus, a reincarnated individual who hides his "cheat skills" while making a modest living as an alchemist. His life takes a dramatic turn when he contracts with Nora, an enslaved curse practitioner, and encounters Coco, an elf stripped of all four limbs and senses. What begins as a humble attempt to save Coco from a small workshop escalates into an epic battle involving alchemy, curses, the cosmos, and even the gods.
Alongside the anime announcement, a teaser visual and a commemorative PV have been released. The PV depicts the visual creation process of the character Nora, starting from original creator Sugiura's rough sketches, through Umemaru's manga adaptation, and finally Passione's animation.
