Three-episode cyberpunk SF OVA produced by Madhouse under director Yoshiaki Kawajiri. Set in near-future Tokyo in 2808, the series follows the Cyber Police - violent criminals with sentences exceeding 150 years - whose lives are kept on a leash by neck-mounted explosive collars in exchange for tackling impossible cases. Released in succession as 'Memories of the Past,' 'The Decoy,' and 'The Crimson Medium,' the work showcases Kawajiri's hard-boiled, stylish direction with high-contrast shadowy artwork, dense mecha and gun action, and sexy, violent adult noir, earning fervent international fans as a Kawajiri-signature cyberpunk masterpiece.
