Toei Animation occult fantasy adapting Shigeru Mizuki's manga, premiered on TV Asahi in April 1989. Shingo Umoregi, the once-in-ten-thousand-years 'savior' Akuma-kun, leads twelve white-demon disciples drawn from Eastern and Western myth against the dark forces of Toogoku Daitei in pursuit of an earthly paradise. Junichi Sato served as series director.
