Theatrical Studio Ghibli feature written and directed by Hayao Miyazaki, adapted from Eiko Kadonos childrens novel. Trainee witch Kiki and her black cat Jiji set off for the seaside town of Koriko, where Kiki opens a delivery service while befriending the bakers Osono, painter Ursula and aviation-mad boy Tombo. Coming-of-age trials including a temporary loss of magic deepen her growth, set to songs by Yumi Arai (Yumi Matsutoya).
