Based on Frances Hodgson Burnett's classic novel, the show follows kind-hearted Cedric Errol (Ceddie), a New York boy who is suddenly revealed to be heir to an English earldom and travels across the Atlantic to thaw his stern grandfather's frozen heart. Animated by Nippon Animation as the 14th entry of the World Masterpiece Theater series.
