Science-fantasy comedy that began on Fuji TV's Sunday evening slot in March 1988. Based on the manga by Fujiko F. Fujio, the series follows fourth-grader Eiichi 'Kiteretsu' Kite, a descendant of an Edo-era inventor, who builds gadgets from a mysterious tome found in his attic and adventures with childhood friend Miyo and bully Buta-Gorilla. Following a 90-minute special in 1987, the show ran as a beloved staple for roughly eight years. Animated by Studio Gallop.
