Hard-boiled action sequel that began on Yomiuri TV in April 1988. Based on Tsukasa Hojo's manga and produced by Sunrise, this second season again follows Shinjuku-based sweeper Ryo Saeba and his partner Kaori Makimura as they tackle dangerous jobs spanning gun-fueled action and slapstick comedy. Adapting volumes 12-23 of the original manga plus many original stories, it produced acclaimed two-part episodes including the celebrated Sayonara Hard-Boiled City.
