The second original-Japan entry of Takara's Transformers franchise introduces the bold twist of human Pretenders who transform via the Master Brace bracelet, fusing with their Transformer partners. The Cybertrons and Destrons battle for the cosmic Super-Soul power while the story emphasizes the strength of being human. Animated by Toei Animation, it gave the franchise a fresh creative direction.
