Gag anime that began on Nippon TV in March 1988. Adapted from Masashi Sato's Weekly Shonen Jump manga, the show follows Kenichi Kokuho, a naive yet superhuman boy raised by a martial-arts master in the mountains who descends into modern society as a transfer student. Studio Pierrot and Toho deliver director Osamu Kobayashi's high-energy parade of slapstick gags and the protagonist's eccentric devotion to dust rags, although the broadcast ended after just half a year.
