Family anime that began on TV Asahi in April 1988, co-produced by Asahi Broadcasting and Nippon Animation. Based on Maria Perego's beloved Italian rodent character, the show follows the curious mouse boy Gigio and his girlfriend Rose through warm-hearted adventures. Directed by Noboru Ishiguro and Shigeo Koshi, it later transitioned that autumn into the sequel Yumemiru Topo Gigio on TV Tokyo.
