An OVA adapted from Hideyuki Kikuchi's occult action novel. Produced by Madhouse, it is set in a Tokyo Shinjuku transformed into an otherworld by a great earthquake, where the young exorcist Kyoya Izayoi embarks on an adventure to defeat the adversary Levihn, who seeks to upend the world's balance, while rescuing an abducted heiress. Yoshiaki Kawajiri's dense direction, distinctive sensuous art design and the hardboiled atmosphere true to Kikuchi's original come together to make it one of the late-1980s OVA boom's representative dark fantasy romances.
