A fairy-tale fantasy adapted from Tony Wolf's Italian picture book series, co-produced by Yomiuri TV, Dentsu Osaka and Nippon Animation. To rescue exiled mermaid princess Apricot, forest dwellers including the young frog Apollo, an erudite mouse and the hedgehog knight Otto set out on a journey. The soft European storybook visuals and adorable animal cast won young viewers' hearts, while Noriko Hidaka's emotive theme song remains fondly remembered.
