Sponsored by Japan Tobacco under the on-air title 'A Story in One Cigarette: Heart Cocktail', each five-minute episode captures the bittersweet emotions of adult love, separation and family. Nippon TV's first late-night anime since 1969 paved the way for the late-night anime culture that followed, with Latin-fusion maestro Naoya Matsuoka and other guest composers crafting the cool jazzy soundscape.
