A military-flavored OVA spin-off of Sunrise's gritty mecha series. Slotted between the destruction of Quent and the epilogue of the TV series, drifter Chirico Cuvie wanders into a fringe combat zone reminiscent of the Kummen arc and is pulled into a brutal battle between a ground battleship and AT squads, complete with old comrades and former Melkian officers. Released to cinemas as well, the film distills the dense atmosphere of the series into a tightly woven action drama.
