Toei Animation's first OVA entry adapting Satoshi Yoshida's youth biker manga. Led by Yosuke Eguchi and the strong-willed lieutenant Akira Ishikawa, the five-member Shonan Bakusozoku takes on the Hellfire Gang on their Shonan home turf. Selling more than 25,000 copies despite a hefty price tag, it kicked off a long-running OVA franchise and the theme song by former Yokohama Ginbae member Sho captured 80s yankee subculture at its peak.
