A SF horror OVA released by Nippon Columbia. When a drifting ship arrives at the space station Tolbador 7, a mind-eating life form designated 'Roots Search Object X' worms its way in, plunging the crew into a cascade of terror and hallucinations. Drawing on the closed-environment horror tradition of Alien and The Thing, paired with 80s hard-SF character design and Osamu Shoji's synth-driven score, it became a cult classic and an early example of OVA horror in Japan.
