TV anime produced by Tokyo Movie Shinsha based on Buichi Terasawa's SF action manga serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump. Aired from October 7, 1982 to May 19, 1983 on Fuji Television, 31 episodes total. A hardboiled space adventure following Cobra, a space pirate with a psycho-gun hidden in his left arm, and his android partner Lady, set across the cosmos. The stylish direction by chief director Osamu Dezaki paired with Akio Sugino's character designs, along with Yuji Ono's jazz-flavored music and the sultry vocals of Yoko Maeno, remain highly acclaimed today.
