TV anime produced by Dynamic Planning and NAC, based on the SF gag robot anime by Ken Ishikawa and Toyohiro Ando. Aired from October 7, 1982 to June 29, 1983 on TV Tokyo, 39 episodes total. The story follows Robotchi, a comical robot built by an inventor father, and his daily slapstick adventures with the boy Koji and friends. The opening song 'Psybot Robotchi' was composed by then-24-year-old Tetsuro Oda (later a hit songwriter), while the rap-style ending 'Wai Wai Wai' by Jun Irie was a progressive experiment for the early 1980s.
